As of September 1st I became a single parent to my two daughters which I managed just fine but have decided to go to school full-time online. I have struggled with balancing my school work, house work, and spending time with my girls. I take 12 credits and this is my second quarter online. The problem with this is that my girls do not care about time management as they are 4 and 1 1/2. They have certain times for a nap yet fight me EVERY day...even though they have been doing this for their whole lives. This also goes for bedtime in the evenings. It seems that anytime I try to set aside for school ends up getting put off a little longer to deal with the meltdowns of two little girls wanting to stay up later, afraid they are going to miss something exciting.
My 1 1/2 year old daughter, which is the one that is now in a toddler bed due to climbing out of it, has learned to open doors and figured out our baby locks and now plays with them. Unlocking the cabinets and then locking them up again. She also learned to climb over baby gates. I swear she learned all of these things within the same week!! We have stairs in the house and I constantly have to try and keep her in my sights to make sure she isn't acting her age and getting into everything she shouldn't while avoiding all the things she could play with and actually enjoy if she just had a longer attention span.
I am trying to also get an Etsy shop up and running selling girl/baby items. I am currently trying to create an original banner as well as a business card to include. Because my life isn't busy enough as it is why not add one more thing to the list. Of course this also takes up some of my time as I have to craft these items myself to sell.
Sometimes its a good thing to just step back take a breath and really prioritize everything. Although I have so many things that I would LOVE to do. So many things I want to try and accomplish, I guess I need to make a list of goals of things I would love to do in my life and start checking them off. Starting with finishing school!
